help with psiloc total ir and telewest digital please

hi ive had total ir for about 2 weeks now and no amount of messing about at the ccf sites that psiloc recommend ive downloaded several files and imported them or atleast i think i have but the psiloc site isnt much help and i dont know if im doin it right
anyone in here got telewest digital working its a pace box but unsure of exact model number
ive got my tv working but since its my digitial that i use to control channels and volume it isnt much use 😞

i also tried this ir software but it doesnt work for my TV.
its samsung make a 14 inch one..
any idea??

Yeah I seem to have trouble with finding the correct ones for SKY boxes and Digital Boxes even though there are options of UK Sky digital boxes. I can only get it to work on SONY products which mostly use the same type of remote for all products and Technics CD player

Maybe we should make a list of products it works for?

It wont work on Telewest digi boxes (could explain Sky as well?). The reason is that they use a different IRDA standard from normal remotes. I think its because you can do more with them e.g. you can get a full infra red keyboard. My One for All remote will not work for the same reason.

It although doesn�t work with a Grundig TV..

bugger ! no chance of it working then 😞 i cant get it to work my technics hifi which is a bit annoying the tv is a panasonic 25 inch in the bedroom an its annoying coz thats the tv i watch the most 😞

you should be able to use it on the technics as it worked on my but I have to hold it close like close enough for me not to bother using it really!

langdona is correct - I was going to buy this software but after some trials with the standard presets and then .CCF files for use with my domestic kit it was obvious that there was a problem with the my PACE SKY box. I did some research and confirmed that UK SKY boxes use a different IRDA standard to regular consumer electronics boxes. Given that I use the SKY remote 90% of the time it didn't seem like a good investment. Shame, as it's a neat product.

My Sky Digital PACE box worked fine with the product when I tried it a while ago (I only used the trial though and don't use it any more). Not been able to try it on my new Sky+ box though.
