mp3 ringtones

Hi guys

I seem to have lost the ability to set my mp3's as ringtones ie they don't appear when i go menu-profiles-outdoor-personalise-ringing tone-change.

I've recently changed my memory card to a 256mb and installed ultra mp3,both seem to work fine but would either of these things affect the use of mp3's as ringtones?

Or am i missing something obvious?

Any help appreciated!

I've now tried digital and simple folders to no avail.

You don't think that because ultramp3 and the standard music player have access to these files it would affect it?

Strange

It happened to me once, I uninstalled ultramp3 and it worked again. That's a problema with that program I believe.

The n-gage mp3 player found my MP3, is it worth installing something else?

I don't think mp3 need to be in E:\Sounds\Digital

Sorry, my bad. Never really look into those, just noticed it doesn't need to be there...

In my opinion the original player gives best playback quality.

Sometimes, it's better to listen to Nokia, the N-Gage will only support upto 128MB MMC. After reading quite a number of post having similar problems, I noticed that most of them are using 256MB. Yes it may work, but some quirks still come with it. I just hope that those quirks wont end up to be huge ones as time goes by...

hi, i have the same problem but i do not have ultramp3 installed. i can set wavs as ringtone but mp3s, no go. help? (classic n-gage here)
