I've been trying to get hold of a P900 on Orange from the Link for a while now and today was supposed to be the day that new deliveries were made. However when I phoned up I got a few rather strange responses.
Firstly the supposed P900 delivery which I had been assured several times over the last couple of weeks was to take place this morning didn't materialise and one guy who had told me a week ago that he would be getting P900s this week seemed to be having a spate of amnesia.
Secondly once I finally got to speak to someone a bit higher up the food chain he told me that they had recieved a delivery of p900s to the warehouse but they would not be recieving any in stores until February! This surely has to be a sneaky way to get out of the January sales free phones offer? I wish companies would be a little more transparent.
I don't know about that Expansys have shown the P900 out of stock expected in 3 days all of this month. This has now changed to expected 7 days! It sounds like demand is outstripping supply.
Perhaps all the ones delivered to the Link warehouse were already preordered? Why don't you order from the Link website? I notice its only free on 45 and upwards contracts.
tried that weeks ago. You just get... 'Due to High demand p900s out of stock' message. You cant seem to get one for love nor money.

According to Mahesh (I think that's how you spell it) at Expansys, their purchasing guys are having huge problems sourcing units. Seems to be a supply and demand issue and not, as some have rumour monguered on other forums, a secret SE product recall due to firmware issues or any other conspiracy theory.
Sorry QBall, looks like you're just gonna have to wait until someone can get hold of some stock! But it will be worth the wait 😉
