no sound in games

I have sounds in many programs (games and other).

What are your current settings for ringing tones, message tones & and warning tones in the active profile?

Also, does the particular game(s) have their own sound (volume) settings and are they set to on?

even when all settings are turned to max, and sound in games is set to on i get no sound eg. doom, flames,

someone pls help

what games are you getting sound on and where can i download them from

E.g., the built-in Snake EX sounds work for me.
