I've had no problem here in Luxembourg, although I found a quick way to grab URLs off my P.C. and onto my 7650. I paste the RTSP URL into a text file, and send it via InfraRed to the phone. When the message appears and is read, it automagically runs it in the player. I've had to do this because I can't get the www.real.com/7650 to work properly in the WAP browser - it just displays it as a text file and not as a page!!!

ok now i managed, but it won't play. are there any settings i must arrange in the player itself? the rtsp plays, in fact it first tells me connecting, and after loading. after quite a while it tells me it's timed out. is the problem from my side or not? thanks

Cut'n'pasted from www.my-communicator.com:

Ummm, for me the www.real.com/7650 page works just fine and RealOne player starts when I select some stream. I think the problem is not the Services app in 7650, but your service providers WAP gateway.

Unfortunately even if the WAP page works the problem with RealOne is that it is trying to use the established WAP connection to retrieve the content and that is problem because most operators (that I'm aware of) prohibit any non-WAP communication on that connection with nice firewalls.

I did get few streaming audio sites (e.g. BBC One) working by using an Internet capable GPRS access point with rtsp link entered straight to the RealOne application!

Hi, i'm using http://www.real.com/7650 and get a invalid url :-? What is this? sp is netcom Norway

Anyone please help!

I am also getting that error message, I am connection via my ISP, like I do for the web viewer, So it isn't my connection. I've managed to download to my PC and send via email. But this application doesn't really have much use as the memory in the 7650 is far too small. Real Player itself is 1mb (1/4 memory). Does anyone know if there will be anyway to upgrade memory as this is really starting to annoy me.

I'm gonna email Nokia and ask if they have any plans.

The basic idea for RealOne is that you connect to streamed video/audio, and not download it. For this reason you don't need any more RAM.

That's all well and good, but I can't even get it to do that. Any idea's?

The URL is www.real.com/7650 as stated on the website? No matter what I type in I get the error message, INVALID URL.

Yeah me too, or rather I get the page as a note on the screen. The only way I've managed to use it is to browse the site on my p.c. then send the rtsp links via InfraRed to the 7650.

I have no problems sending and playing, but that means your using alot of your phones memory, It streaming that I can't get working.

Can someone who can stream please post their settings on the forum please. No matter what I type, I get "Invalid URL" So I presume it's a settings thing.

Did you put the www.real.com/7650 address in the Options->Open->Open URL box or did you put it in the WAP browser? Because www.real.com/7650 is a WAP page, not a streaming file. The Open URL is for rtsp URLs.

do you actually use realone!! do you have another 7650 just for that, how else do yo have enough memory!!!

Anyway it must cost a lot of money just to wach some video clips!!!

Could anyone please tell me how to get the rtsp url of a media stream. I don't know where to look. For example the BBC News url is 'http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/news/summary.ram', but what is the rtsp url? Please help me.

Save the summary.ram file and open it with e.g. notepad... The rtsp link is in that file.

Open the stream you want from the WAP page when it moves to RealOne save the stream you want in your playlist, you can then access it without having to go to the WAP page everytime.

Has anyone else managed anything other than Audio?

I don't think Moive will be possible using my 9.6K connection but that's all Vodafone supports

this is starting to get on my wick. I have realone on my phone, but I don't have any rtsp addresses. Do I get them from www.real.com/7650 on the comp or on the phone using my gprs wap browser? If I'm sposed to use the phone browser then I have another problem! Even when I use the links presented on the realone page I get told they are "not acceptable". Realone is using up a lot of memory and not doing much at all 😞
