I've read of so many experiences on creating theme ....
but till to now nobody has explained the entire process either with " theme editor " or with "nokia theme studio".😕
Any body can help me on this?

ps: i got theme editor but receive always an error trying to load an *.mbm file. it says: error loading file
So any chance to start ccreating my theme dies immediately😞

Tried reading the document "Series 60 Theme Studio Artist's Guide" that comes with Nokia's Theme Studio on Nokia's web site?
i download the nokia theme editor and it gives me error when i try to install it , please help me!

Hi,
If you are using the Theme Editor (Italian Author), which you might have downloaded when it was initially released, THEN, if you are using anyother Windows other than XP, you cannot use the s/w. You'll perhaps need to contact the Author of the s/w & get help.
If you are using the Nokia Theme Studio, then, on the XP if you have trouble installing it, you'll need to do this:
1) Right Click on the Theme Studio Installation File
2) Click at properties
3) Set the File compatability to Windows 2000 Mode
You'll be done with installation & will be able to start creating your own themes.
Just in case if you are not able to compile your theme using Nokia Theme Studio, you keep getting errors like, theme creation unsuccessful, then, use the attached file by copying it in the installation directory & renaming it to the appropriate .bat file 😉

😱 Sorry... maybe i have not focused on the two request :
1) the first one was to create some tips and tricks for people on the net explaining the usage of the two programs as you were talking to a newbie at all also in using software. this may help anybody even the smartest one 😎
2) the second one was: I've got problem with the other program(the italian one), I've got win2k, it installed with no problem but I receive opening an mbm file (to start creating my own theme using an mbm already created): error loading file
Maybe because of the program ...or maybe because I'm not doing the right step to start from the base.

Hi ,
For the Italian, s/w, it will only work in the Win XP. No use breaking your head over it. But I also learnt that the Author recently released another version, which supports the other windows too. You could go to his download location, to get an update or probably mail him for further help as to downlad the newer version. 😊
