hello. this is my first post, and i'm hoping someone can help me. i can't seem to delete two things from my inbox:
1) the installer for avantgo, which i uploaded to my nokia 6600 via bluetooth;
2) a regular text message from a friend.
in both cases, the phone gives me this message:
"general: already in use"
regarging item 1, i resorted to restoring the phone's memory from the multimedia card, but while this has worked, i have noticed that in my phone memory, i have 491 kb eating up my messages even though there is nothing in my inbox with that size. has the avantgo installer remained in my memory? please help. thanks.
First - hold down the menu key and make sure nothings open except 'telephone'. Try going into manager and see if any of its listed in there, if so remove it ie avantgo.
You could try 'moving' the messages to another folder, one by one, and see if you can then delete them from the new folder.
from another forum i learned how to delete the avantgo installer: using fexplorer, i went to c:\system\mail. it was in one of the folders! the text message turned out to be a vcf, and i was able to delete it as well. it took a lot of time to find it but that cleared up my memory.
I just had a similar problem where I could not delete a message containing a file transferred via bluetooth.
The solution was to check the uploaded files properties with a file manager (I used SeleQ) and remove the hidden flag.
I have no clue which application set this flag but after setting this property to 'off' the message system could delete the message without any further problem.
Just in case anybody stumbles accross the same problem again. 😊

Yeah same with a P**N Program Just use fexploer and it should be in c:\system\mail i think
