Hello.

Besides mp3, midi, and wac files...what other music files does the P900 recognize?

I also tried transfering some wma files to the phone but when I tried playing it, it said the file was unrecognizable. What video files does the P900 recognize? Are there sites also that I can download where I can get cool video files for the P900?

Thanks all.

There are additional applications that will allow you to play .OGG, MOD, XM, IT, S3M all audiot file formats.

The p800 can play MP4, 3GP AND .MO video file formats.

I"d like to use mp3 files as my ringtones. Currently, I transfer the whole song (which is around 3-4MB) to the phone but what I want is just to crop a portion of the song. Is there anyway in the P900 where I can I just crop the portion which I like? (Coz in Nokia's 9210, it has this feature)
Or is there any FREE software where can crop at reduce the size of the file before I transfer it?
Is there another options besides mp3 that has good sounding quality?

I am wondering what type of video files can play for P900? Where can I get MPEG 4 files?

I tried moving some video files tomy P900 but it failed because its not compatible w/ P900. What do I do? How do I convert my video files to files that are right for the phone.

www.mobilclip.com and the quality is a lot better.

just a reminder :
the correct link is : www.mobiclip.com

it took me quite a while to find it as it is completely new to me so I dont know it is a simple typing mistake.

So, I just post the reminder for those who do not know it also. I hope it won't offend anyone.

I spent quite some time to make the mobiclip thing work and do serveral experiment in converting movies. I found that the file is much larger and the quality is lower then mpeg4 created by MPEGable in full screen mode. Yes it can achieve higher framerate smoothly but the large filesize and bad quality (even in 100%) make it worser then MPEGable mp4 in P900.

Maybe in P800, which the video player is bad, and in other phones, it is really better but in P900 I think MPEGable's MP4 is better.

Are there any good mo clip for P900 full screen size which is impressive to download so that I can download and have a look to see I am wrong ?

You can find MPEGable X4 Live in :

http://www.mpegable.com/

I think it is much better and much more flexible then PVAuthor.

You can set which part to convert, you can crop some part out of the 4 side and you can resize to any size of your choice (so I can make it fit the 320 X 208) full screen well so that P900 do not need to do any resize in playback.

It quality is also much better.

When playing MPEGable created clip in PC PVPlayer, sometime the playback is very bad but it is PC PVPlayer problem. It do play well in MPEGable own player and QuickTime Player. It also play well in P900's PVPlayer.

It make very outstanding result in full screen if the motion is not too much. However, if the motion is intensive, P900 might not handle it well and may begin to slow down. Reducing frame rate help here but of cause it also reduce the smoothness...

It can also get the image from DV or caputure card.

There is a downloadable trial version so you can try yourself.

Which settings do I have to use for P900? Itried the P800 profile but it is not working. Please help...

Ochscho

I used the P800 profile as the basic profile and then increase the size and bitrate etc.

I do not have any problem doing this so I dont know what you mean by not working.
