Hi people!
My N-gage is gon craazy...!
I normally use the package earphones to listen to music and make phonecalls...
However, I have tried in many ocasions to make phonecalls when the earphones weren't plug into the ngage and I wasn't able.
The earphones sign is always on even when they are not plugged! I have tried to reset the ngage with them not on but the sign still appears....
Why???

Dirt inside the connectors, perhaps?

Buy (or ask if an electronics/TV/PC repair shop nearby can borrow you) a can of compressed air you can use to blow the dirt away (if there is some kind of a microswitch or something that's stuck inside the connectors).

If that doesn't help, take or send it to a Nokia authorized repair center.

Are the connectors (black & grey) aligned with the chassis outer dimensions?
In case that the grey one in pushed inside the phone connectors of the plug housing do not have correct contacts on the PCB.
Dropped the phone with the grey plug connected?
Try pulling the grey female connector outwards.
Any help?
