Help with my stolen 7650...

I had my 7650 stolen 😞 and the only file where my phones are is contacts.cdb that I revert it from 88.dat with PC suite tweaker. Could anyone tell me how to make it readable? My temporary phone is samsung v200 so I want a file like like txt. Maybe I could send someone contacts.cdb and after reverting it with his 7650 send it back to me.... Any help would be valuable...

I've never tried to do it that way myself, but if you install the Series 60 SDK (Software Development Kit), you might be able to put the file in the SDK's emulator directory, run the emulator on your PC and access the contacts data that way.

The SDK can be downloaded from http://forum.nokia.com

I have a similar problem, I lost my 7650 but I have a recent backup, it wasn't just a contacts backup, it was a complete backup and I ended up with the contacts in 742.dat
I now have a motorola and can't find a way to get all those phone numbers out of the .dat file into a form the motorola understands.

Where do I get this pc suite tweaker? Also, I had a look at the 'sdk' website and had no idea what to download, there was far too much there to choose from.

Can you put something, in simple terms for a simple guy (me 😉 ) and where I can download any programs I need. I need to get this contact list back, I'm lost without it.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer 😊

The apllication you have to download is nS60_sdk_v1_2.zip. You also have to put in google "pc suite tweaker" and find a link to download the apllication. After you make the *.cdb from *.dat file then put it in the nokia sdk apllication directory. Run the emulator and there are your contacts!

Another option is to send your contacts.cdb to someone that has a Series 60 phone with SmartvCard installed.

After temporarily replacing the contacts.cdb file, he/she can export the contacts to a vCard (.vcf) file, and send back to you.

This format can be imported by Outlook, PDAs, other smartphones, etc.

Best wishes,

Roberto

I'm failing to find this tweaker program, lots of office suites, but no tweaker, I tried searching for 'pc suite tweaker nokia' but still with no joy, I must be missing something obvious. Can someone provide a link to this program, I'm losing lots of business and my boss is not a happy man 😞

If I wasn't a little bald already I would be pulling my hair out right now 😉
