Opera vs. WebViewer, which is better?

Thanks for the replies. I have a question. When I use Opera to surf, I always eventually end up with "Not enough memory" error. I posted about this problem before. I have the latest firmware and all, and before I surf, I cleanup the memory using HandyDay 2004. What am I doing wrong?

it's cuz your drive is full ...
as you surf, all viewed pages are stored (cached) in your drive, so you usually end up filling drive C.

it's better to leave drive C clean and save your stuff on D 😊

I have downloaded a trial for Web Viewer and found it to be much faster when I tested with espn.go.com. Some of the problem I've had w/ Opera are:

1. Cache build up when surfing causing not enough memory problem
2. Can be slow

Does anyone have a solution for #1? I like how Web Browser has an option to limit # of pages to cache. Also, when is the new Opera coming out? I prefer not to double dip on browser. Thank you.

try disabling loading images, it'll save a lot of space, and you can get Opera cleanup your cache regularly

from the edit menu, go to Prefernces, tick (Empty cache on disconnect)
then go to Display tab, and uncheck (Load Images)

2. Can be slow

if you do my suggestion above, you'll end up surfing much faster

hope that answers your Qs 😊

I switched to Web Viewer and am very happy. It is very fast. I find it faster than Opera and I don't run into the "Not enough memory" problem I did in Opera.

I cannot work well in a web page that has more than one section.

If I need to have something chosen in the first section and then choose the action I want from the other section. the browser does not relate the action with the selection. Does this make any sense? What could I be doing wrong

I eard Web viewer can read excel, word, pdf files? Is this true? Can Opera do the same?

Hi guys,

Opera is find.
Only reouble is sometimes I want to be able to view as landscape but currently not possible, or am I missing something here.

cheers. 🙄
