replacing the nokia 6600 casing with an unoriginal one

I'm from the Philippines, and in a local cellphone store, nokia 6600 cases with different colors are being sold. They're not original though. In the nokia website, they do not have express-on covers for the nokia 6600. Does that mean that they advise us not to change the casing of our phones? Is it ok remove the original casing and replace it with an unoriginal one (suppose that it fits the phone just fine)? I'm really cautious about my phone. Has anyone experienced removing the original casing and replacing it with another one (not necessarily unoriginal one)? Any reply would be really appreciated. Thanks!
