Ive looked around for quite a bit now, but havent found the answers to my questions, Can anyone help?
*#7370#
Will this erase ANYTHING on my inserted sim card?
Does this clear my contacts/messages?
Will all my settings be reset?
Do i have to configure anything after running it like set anythin back up, Or does this do it for me.
Will my saved games be erased? ..
Any other info on what this does would be helpful, thx 😊
The *#7370# hard reset will erase all third-party applications, contacts, pictures, and ringtones stored in your flash memory and will all default to the n-gage factory settings. Make a backup of everything on your MMC card if you plan to use the hard reset feature.
I have tried to format my phone like five times and each time everything was still here...
No contacts were removed, not even messages...
Guys why is this happening to me???
any idea???
I used the stools software and even the #7370#

Ok it finally worked i was able to format my mobile it seems that i couldn't cos i had the arabic font which didn't allow the mobile from being formatted it succeeded as soon as i removed the arabic font from c:/system/fonts/ and restarted the phone...
After installing some ringtones and stuff my phone became really sluggish and kept reporting low memory. I tried to delete some messages and ringtones and even some games and it just fell over. Now it won't even get to the n-gage logo... in fact it is suffering the 'white screen of death'. All I get is the Nokia logo, then blank, then the nokia logo again a few times, then blank, then switch off. I have had the thing in many pieces looking for a reset jumper etc but no luck. Tried to remove the system board battery but it is soldered in. Don't wanna go any further to invalidate warranty so just gonna surrender to a service centre. I have tried all the forum stuff, like hold down this key and that, and nothing works... don't care if I lose all my data... it's all gone now as it is. WSOD ya bass tard
:con?

I'm having the exact same problem on my QD and as far as i know nothing can be done. Nowhere on the net seems to have any help for this problem so i guess i'll just have to bring it to nokia. I hope the warranty will cover it.

Is it safe to do that master format on my n-gage qd? Because I have tons of annoying At&t stuff on there will that take it off? And what happens if I format it and I can't boot it up? It has no warrenty!

It is safe as long as you do it with a full battery or preferrably also the AC adapter connected. And to be on the safer side, do it with the MMC removed and just after you have rebooted the phone.
All user-definable settings, messages, pictures, sounds, installed programs, etc., will be reset to the original state the phone was in when it left the factory where it was made.
If AT&T settings are in ROM, the operation will not affect those. In that case they can only be overridden by having the phone reflashed with a "generic" firmware release instead of an AT&T version.
