Email using Freeserve and O2

I have a 6600 on an O2 contract. I downloaded an 'Internet Access Point' from the Nokia website using my Freeserve Hometime account. When I try to send emails I get a message that reads 'Unable to connect to server, try again later' - any ideas?

I also downloaded the 'Internet Access Point' which is gprs and it doesn't work either.

I heard someone say you can't have a MMS gprs access point AND an Internet gprs access point enabled on the same sim card, just one or the other.

So currently I have;

Freeserve (gsm) - Email/Opera
O2 Wap (gprs) - Wap ('services'😉
O2 Mms (gprs) - MMS
O2 Internet (gprs) - doesn't work in Email or Opera

I've heard similar reports of O2's seemingly arbitrary decision to allow only one apn at a time.

More like though, your problem is down to Freeswerve preventing access to their SMTP servers from non-freeserve IP addresses. If O2 provide you with one (e.g. smtp.o2.co.uk) use that.

hope this helps.
