1. Is it possible to make the clock and the date fonts bigger inthe standby mode?
2. When I lock the key board the date and time is also difficult for me to read as they get printed on a strip. Is it possible to make that bigger. Or alternatively is it possible to have the standby screen as the key lock screen?
Thanks
Hi,
My best suggestion to you is to buy yourself Symbianware Powerlock.
This application is kinda like a screensaver, but allows the user to specify what he wants to see, eg. a digital clock, a big analogue clock or a picture with a calendar overlayed.
Go look here : http://www.symbianware.com/product.php?id=powerlock60&pl=n6600
You can also specify to have a lock activate after a certain time, so if you lose your phone no one can use it unless they know the code.
Or another, but this app uses a lot of battery quite quick I find is Psiloc Screen Saver http://psiloc.com/?id=prod&nrp=40
Take a look,
Ian
I have have tried Powerlock and its quite good but how do you make the backlight not stay on all the time when it is not charging, as it must run the battery down pretty fast.

Hi,
Erm, I'm going to re-install it in a few minutes to check this, but I think there's an option in the settings to specify if you want the backlight to stay on or not and for how long to.
Check through the 'General Settings' I found an option for the backlight while it's charging, but not when the screen saver operates.
Are you using an animated GIF maybe? I so far haven't tried this as yet.
Ian
I had it on my 6600 and then I uninstall it because it use lot of battery. I used to charge my phone every 2 days and more and when I had this screensaver I needed every day to charge it or less........ 😃 😃 😃
The extra batterydrain with powerlock is worth it. The built in screensaver is hard to read without the backlight on.
Get Psiloc Screensaver - it has big analogue and digital clocks...
...the digital is great, but keep the 'movement' speed to minimum, as it sucks battery power...
...also features day/date on same screen as 'big clock'..
sorry... just saw that it's already been mentioned.... but I recommend it anyhow...
