I have a 6600 on an O2 contract. I downloaded an 'Internet Access Point' from the Nokia website using my Freeserve Hometime account. When I try to send emails I get a message that reads 'Unable to connect to server, try again later' - any ideas?
6600 Email Settings
I know that on Orange you need to change the Outgoing mail server to the Orange SMTP server.
Maybe you need to do similar with O2 ?
Have you tried O2 customer services ?

This bit needs changing to the O2 server.
You will need to find out from O2 or if anyone here knows the O2 mail server settings.
Also the dialup number is not required as you should be using GPRS to connect to email on the 6600.
I believe the outgoing mail server for o2 is smtp.o2.co.uk - just tried that and I still couldn't send any email
Have tried changing my Access Point to O2 Wap GPRS too - still no joy!
Change 'Security' to OFF
It is off on my 6600 email account ( non-Freeserve)
You can't use the wap access point for GPRS to collect e-mail that way.
Did you call O2 and ask them to activate your email ,MMs, etc ???
I called Voda and I did it ...
Maybe thats the prob. 😛 😛 😛 😛 😛 😛
