I tried for the O2 but they STILL do not have any in stock 😞 , does anyone know any other ways of getting this phone as cheap as possible?
Cheapest place to get a P900 in the UK?
I got one for sales.
check market place in this forum.
if you can match the o2 offer as in total final price then let me know.
you'll be lucky to get one anywhere at the moment unless you wanna pay top notch. I'm just gonna sit back and watch to see the 7700 has to offer before I make any decisions now.

Dont get cheat by them. they will not allowed u to downgrade after 3 months infact. If u do, they will extend ur contract for 12 months more on the day u downgrade. watch out

errrrr, no,
yes, you can downgrade after 1 month, it is even possible to do it before the first bill, they do not extend your contract nor are they allowed to.
if you get an orange contract, you can downgrade after 1 month officially, unless stated otherwise, clearly upon purchasing, like on onestopphoneshop, they clearly mention that you aren't allowed to downgrade before four months, hwoever, i do not know how they set it
ummm so who will allow me to downgrade after 1 month? Orange shop?

I thought that the "no clawback" only applies if you buy from The Link.
if you buy from orange direct, you will not get clawbacked, if you get it from the link, you won't be clawbacked either, i got it from the carphonewarehouse and i wasn't charged anything extra, but that was on the old terms and conditions, it's just that they can't tell who's on the old and who's on the new, it's just on the reciept paper that they print. if you buy it from most places, you won't get clawbacked, i've not known anyone who's actually been charged, nor do i know how they implement this because signing up to orange is all the same for any company doing it.
i phoned THE LINK and they told me its 3months i have to wait for changing tariff 😞 Can anyone confirm that this isnt ture?
i phoned two link stores, they told me 3months to downgrade 😞😕
I upgraded my P800 to a P900 with singlepoint vodafone in the UK. You can upgrade after just 9 months not 12. I was paying 25.00 per month on contract, got the upgrade for 260 (you need to haggle with your account manager to get a good deal) but with first 3 months line rental free (so that saves 75) and a new line rental of only 21.00 per month after the free period. Sold my p800 for 200.00
So 260 (upgrade cost)
Sold P800 for 200
Save 75 for the first 3 months and 27 for the next 9 months on line rental.
200 + 75 + 27 - 260 = 42
So I get a nice shiney P900 and am actually 42 better off
😃
that's single point, and singlepoint are crap,
right, i'll say this one last time, that at the link, they do not clawback, nor do they ever, nor do they even find out, you can change tariffs after one month, how many times do people need to ask eh? geez, if you don't believe it, then try it, if you think they will extend your contract or whatever, then they must tell you before doing so, so why don't you get the contract, and then ask customer services to leave a note on the account to downgrade a week before the next bill date eh? then if they say it's not allowed or whatever, you return the phone and stuff,
what's the point in asking, and getting answers, and continuing to ask? 🙄 if you don't want answers off other people on the board, go and try it yourself
nk8 i get it now 😉
One thing, at the link how many days is the money back guarantee do you get?

In what way are they crap. I have never had any problems with them.
singlepoint? they use the same masts as o2 and vodafone, but run a different service structure, they're a different billing company to others, and like, when gprs came out on o2's network, singlepoint didn't have them untill 9 months later, similar with mms and other serivices too, and they're opening hours are crap. there's a lot that's crap about them

Originally posted by nk8Well they have all that now and all I am worried about is the sevice I get now not what it was like a couple of years back

8:00am 8:00pm, Monday - Friday
9:00am 6:00pm, Saturday and Sunday
Seems perfectly adequate to me

the way they allow people without all necesary identification is fraudulent, which most at phones4u encourage it seems, the training they receive on tele customer services lacks a lot, they start work, then get training after they start work which means a lot of them are dumb as the people they suck in to purchasing from them, if you send them a letter in the 11th month, they have a tendancy to "lose" the letter in the post and when putting through a new contract, we have to deal with the custoemrs who crap off their heads because single point never disconnecting,

just a word of caution;
I phoned orange re: buying phone free on 70 tariff then down grading tafiff in the next month and they said they dont like to shout about it but there is no way they can stop you doing this.
HOWEVER when I phoned onestopphoneshop they said this is true BUT they get payed their commision from orange on month 4 and if youve not been on the right tarrif they don't get the same commision fee and they come to you with a big bill to make up the difference!!😕 😕
andy9395 i was actually told the same thing by someone else, he bought a T68i when it first came out, the shop gave it free and he had to stay on the high tariff for 4 months, he changed it after 2 and was charged extra. I will have to speak to him again but i think it might not be worth risking it.

yeah, but that's from onestopphone shop, who clearly state that you must be on it for 4 months, other places like carphonewarhouse and the link, get commision a month after their sale, i'm sure i mentioned above about onestopphoneshop, and the commision people get per phone, is usually only around 8-10, there is no way the people selling it, will ever know by finding out through loss of commision as anything that's done, like discounts, affect the margin which effect their commision, only the company knows by the network writing to them, and they rarely ever do that, i'm not gonna bother saying what you shoudl do, anymore, if you wanna try it, then try it, if not, then don't, 😮
Got mine for 37.99 on talk400 at 45 a month from
fones4free.com
It did state that I can't downgrade the tarif for 3 months.
The Link has gone up to 99 on the 70 pm tariff now that they have some in stock
wow, i placed an order online on yesterday and it was free 😃 😃 😃 😃
