I`m in a situation where it would be good to identify messages by its message tone.
ie one from my sms gateway at work could be a really load warning tone etc.
if not does anyone know of an app that will do this.

can you set up a sms message tone for different users
as far as i know there isnt a application that does this at the moment, i once heard of an older ericsson - non-symbian - that actually did perform this function but i've never known a nokia to do it
There's no such application because it has no sense.The main purpose of setting different ring tones to phone calls is that you can pick or hang up the phone without even looking at it because you know who's calling, maybe you don't want to talk to him in that moment.But for SMS is different.Wether you read or not the sender does know you did,you just reply him or not,it's your decision.Would you NOT TALK to someone you've picked the phone?
