Mobiclip Error !

19 replies · 2,787 views · Started 12 February 2004

Mobiclip is a amazing program and it worked like a dream when i tested it with a episode of the simpsons... BUT after around 5min of playing The Simpsons the audio and video started to TOTALLY split up and mouth movement and audio was off by 5seconds at least ! (And thats only 8mins into it).

Also i tried to make more movies and i kept getting the error of 'Cannot save avi. because No Audio Compression' (Sorry but i have forgot the specific line because i am at college).

Please dont say 'its because u have not made sure compression is 'No Compresion' because NO i did not forget, i tred and tried.

Please help me, im dying to get sum movies on it since my bust MMC cant handle games or appz ! :'(.

Thanking all you nice people (😃) in advance - Wo33eR

Hi,

If you go here : http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/stable/

End of the fourth line down from the top you will see :
"If you need AC-3 support, try my AC-3 ACM Decompressor"
Download and install the AC-3 ACM Decompressor, this will help you.

You didn't say what program you are using to create the avi file, I take it your using Virtual Dub?
If so, try these settings I have attached. You may have to reduce the volume down to 100% in the audio pull down menu for dvd films. I have set it quite high for some other clips I was converting in which the sound was very low.

I won't close this thread only because coolice answered it.There are alredy open threads on mobiclip(a couple). In the future, don't start a new thread, post in the existing one.

My face at the moment looks a little like - :O !!!

Ur little scrit of yours is AMAZING !. Well done !. Im just trying to fix this audio error still though, u didnt explain how to INSTALL the AC2 add-on. And yes im using VDub

Also you got a clue on why the audio totally trails off ?

Ok i have install it and i still get the error

'No audio compressor could be found to decompress the source audio format'

Im totally clueless now lol

Hi Wo33eR,

Thank you, glad you liked the settings file. I use them with perfect results.

Hmm, this is puzzeling me now to.
Are you taking files from a DVD of the Simpsons?
Is there any clue as to what type of audio the dvd contains?
Also are you taking the files straight from the DVD or are you, amen here goes 😞 , ripping them? Naughty 😊

From a DVD I use dvd decryptor to get the individual files and the MPEG2 files, then I use Virtual Dub to open the Mpeg's.
Normally Virtual Dub then asks what audio source to use, I've seen normally 2 - 4 options. Click ok and the MPEG's loaded into V-D.

If you know what audio type the piece uses it may be worth you now emailing the guys who made virtual dub for their help.

Ian

Hi,

Ah, ok. You may find the jerkyness is through that then maybe. Do they play ok before you convert?

Perhaps the way they have been converted into AVI doesn't agree with the conversion your using after.

Keep playing around and let us know what you find.

Ian

Okay here goes. To fix the problem i got a program thats called VDub Mod. I installed ur Audio Compression file and then started to make the movie. To fix the audio this is what you need to do :

All you out there with remaining SYNC problems, youre gonna love this "solution":

1: Open VirtualDubMod (i used 1.5.10.1)
2: Open your video file with VBR audio
3: Say no to the warning (You will say no to rewriting the audio header and making sync problems)
4: Go to menu: Streams>Streams Select your audio stream and DeMux it

5: Open up CoolEdit or any other advanced sound program (i used CoolEdit Pro 2.0)
6: Check the exact length of your audio file by (in CoolEdit) moving the yellow dot line to the end and keep it there, then the length should be in a "box" below the diplayed audio
7: Go to menu: Effects>Time/Pitch>Strech
8: Return to VirtualDubMod and move the slider to the end of the video file to see exactly how long the video is
9: Go back to CoolEdit and enter the difference ex."audio is: 23:19.440 it says: 1400.544 and video is 23:19:983 then set it to 1400.988" and strech.

10: Come back when its done ans hit the save button
11: Reload it into VDubMod and disable the primary audio stream and add the newly saved, full process it and your DONE

I hope this is helpfull for someone as it was for me.

Also even though my files now rip perfectly to Mobiclip files the jumping is a joke, at first its perfect and towards the end of the movie its at LEAST 10 seconds off... which is un-watchable. Im guessing this problem is due to the instruction of Mobiclip help file telling u to change the video FPS. Im not to sure but i DEFO know that the movies are going into Vdub on PERFECT quality.

If anyone can help me with this problem i would be very thankfull as since my MMC cant hadly apps or games i need to use it for something. Thank You - Wo33eR

Wo33eR,are you using the "decimate by 2" frame setings in VirtualDub,like the mobilclip manual says?

Yes, Yes i am 😃. I tried with WITH and Without, i really have tried quiet alot now and i really need to get rid of it

Hi,

As GhostDog has said there has got to be something now which isn't getting checked.
Quite a few people are using this now, I'm not saying there is never any errors or jumps as I'm sure there is, but in this case it's got to be something missing now.

Have you tried another clip of some description, anything that you can Virtual-Dub then convert to.mo?

Ian

Hmm im never used VDub before apart from with audio ripping when i am making making... CD's 😃. Well anyhow, iv gone through the manual twice now and tried 4 different .avi's and tried changing this and that also but nothing will get it working correctly :'(

Hello Mate,

Your not using Virtual Dub, but Virtual DubMOD yes?

That may be why we're not really helping you here. I know I'm speaking for myself here and maybe GhostDog to, but I'm just using the standard Virtual Dub at present. I only just got the MOD version the other day but have not tried it.
The settings I have been telling you and the MobiClip manual all apply to just Virtual Dub mate.

My best suggestion now, worth a try, is to get Virtual Dub (normal, not MOD) and try the attached settings again. I'm yet to try them with the MOD version.

I'm now wondering if thats what the trouble is, as the settings are not right. Perhaps the MOD version is accepting the clip ok, but the normal one which is specified for mobiclip wouldn't take it so easy. One idea.

Ian

lol nope i used Normal Vdub the first few times round and then i went to the mod, the mod helps with certain movies that have split sound files thats all. there both pretty much identical and both of them i have produced .mo's off and both are the same 😃

I've expirienced your problem Wo33eR.The worst thing about it is that i can't figure out what is causing it.Its random, some movies play fine and some don't.The decimate by two option really doesn't matter all that much, expect for the size of the file.Usually, movies that are originally encoded with 25 fps play fine, even if the decimate by two option is not used,so you'll have a excelent quality,25fps movie.IMO,movies encoded with 12-15 fps are not really watchable anyway.

File sizes can go lower then mobiclip.Mpeg4,3gpp and mobiclip are just versions of divx,so.

The convertor is not exactly needed. You can convert files with VirtualDub.I still haven't reached satisfactory playback results.
