Unlimited video recording on 6600

Judging by the amount of requests for that info, isn't it unbelievable that Nokia didn't put that in the video app
WTF is it with this 9 second 100kb limit?
Do they think that no one wants to record video for anything else except MMS messages.

The Sharp GX20 has a 100kb video download limit.
What on Earth for?

Simple they want to keep all media under 100kb so it is more likely to be sent via MMS.

Phone manufacturers scratch operators backs and vica versa.

I also agree that this is annoying I think maybe you should have a setting for it but it might make more sense than you think. for example if you shoot a piece of video with unlimited time then decide you want to send it later how are you going to edit it?

I am guessing eventually the editing programs will become standard aswell but with the current methods this will never be a problem.

i've heard that on d nokia 6600 u can actually get unlimited video time. I waz told on another forum if u set d date 2 b4 31/12/2003
then turn off d audio (no sound). U can get unlimited video recordin but without sound. I tried that out and i got 15 sec recording. Does anyone know how 2 get unlimited recording?😕

Most of the time I get 9 seconds, but since Ive had the 6600 last week, on a couple of occasions its been 12, 15 or even 20 seconds once. Anyone explain why?

you get more time on the recording if you are recording something with not much data such as a person talking but if there is a lot of data it will limit the time. this is because nokia will only allow you to record 100k of data at once

so really we either need to hack nokias software, or even better

isn't there a video recorder out there that allows unlimited recording but works with 6600?
could it also give a better fps?

Yup friends there is an unlimited video recorder for nokia 6600 its called. ETIcamcoder i have it in ma 6600. But only prob is that it records without sound. u wud have to turn off audio to record videa otherwise it gives error.

Hope this helps.

eti works like shit on 6600. i really dont like it. somehow i love the nokia OG software for videos very crisp. if only there was unlimted that worked for it. i dont understand this that 6600 has been out for bot 5 months now and still no1 or no company is working on making a software like this. if they are scared it will get cracked, man they need to shut the damn company down then, if thats the reason, its weird cuz when i got 7650 i dint have space to put stuff on that 4mb and now i have 128 + 6 and guess what nothing juicy to install. wonder y the company of eti aint workin on it either. wish i knew how to program these things lol wud b fun then. well if ne1 is listenin and have the skills or ne company. make the damn software already cuz guess what ull be a legend then to come out with the first awesome software of video rec. on 6600 and then mayb have competition as well. damn i think this post is long now lol so hopin to get the software fast lol 😛
