TRue Tones are played on 6600

i had a nokia 3300

with is compatale wih true tones i.e awb
it was the fist phone with True tones and i transferd that tones to my Pc and then i am trsferd that tones to my Nokia6600

but it is saying that message format unknown

wht should i doo
there format is .awb

i think that 6600 support .rng true tones only...

try to rename that .awb to .rng i am not sure if that works..

i never try an .awb ..

A 6600 supports .rng for mono/simple ring tones, but .mid (SP-MIDI), .wav, .awb and probably others too for polyphonic/digital ring tones.

Renaming a file won't help in reformatting the file's internal format.

An .awb file will work as an .awb file.

The 6600 has a bunch of .awb ring tones built-in already as it comes from the factory. They're in Z:\Nokia\Sounds\Digital
