I have it for two weeks now. Love it. But have a few major problems with it. I am hoping that existing or forthcoming applications will address these issues.
1. Shortcuts: I think 6600 needs to make much better use of its keys and joystick while it is on the standby mode. Currenlty 3 shortcuts are available: left soft key, right soft key, press the centre of Joy stick whcih launches contacts. This leaves five others unassigned; text key, and the four directions of the Joy stick. Are ther any applications that can make it possible to assign these keys to additional shortcuts. This is essential to avoid unneccasry number of clicks to navigate in most used features. After all 95% of the time one uses only 5% of the phone and you want this 5% to be accesible immediately.
2. The bluetooth headset profile needs to be fixed. It is just not acceptable that when 6600 is connected to headset it actually does not ring!!! The phone ring is in the earpiece!!! So you have to walk with your headset on your ear to make sure you do not miss call. There is an urgent need to write an application to manage the headset profile of 6600 so that the phone also rings. I am surpirsed no one is complaining about this in the forums. This is a major problem.
Overall great phone great design and you can not help loving it. Could anyone comment if new applications are likely to fix these problems? Afterall SE T68 which is over two years old now does not have the above problems. Interesting enough I never liked it as much as the 6600.
