Calling all 7650/Bluetooth experts!

Just discovered this fantastic board, spent several hours reading through all the posts here - brilliant!

Anyway, I have a question myself. It's a bit of a duffers / newbie question i'm afraid, similar to other questions here, but as I said, I *have* read through a large amount of the posts and haven't come across anything specific to my software yet.

I have a 'ComOne' Bluetooth PC card (as recommended for Sony Vaios, hmmm, not convinced, have had several problems/clashes with it!) and, while I can connect to my 7650 and can do such basic things as back the whole thing up, synchronise calender and contacts, transfer images both ways - I can't for the life of me work out how to transfer other file types (e.g. midi, wav, txt etc) back and forth. If it's not one of the features of 'PC Suite', I don't seem to be able to do it.

Am I being incredibly stupid and/or missing something obvious?!? Is there something I need to download? OR, while the first two are not out of the question ;-> is it a limitation of my Bluetooth card do you think? I don't seem to be able to 'drop' files on any BT- or 7650-related icon as some people can... (actually, neither exist on my desktop). I also have no 'public folder' in which to drop things in. The Bluetooth Manager that came with the PCMCIA card seems *very* limited in it's abilities I have to say.

Well, very grateful for any help! Hope to be able to help others out someday when I've figured it all out!

Thanks

Not got BT but on infrared you don't need to use PCSuite. Once you have a connection just right click the file you want to send and there should be an option to send the file. Should be that simple. 😊

Unfortunately, no, don't have that option when I right click.... as I say, I wonder whether that's something to do with the limitations of my Bluetooth software? Or maybe I don't have it configured correctly? I'm not completely useless when it comes to tech stuff, but I'm new to Bluetooth... and I've tried everything I know to try!

hi , i"m using bluetooth modulke POKE2
from thermal tec industries , and it's working fine to connect my windows XP PC to My 7650.
To transfer files from pc to 7650 you need the application that came with the bluetooth module it self.
But till now I also still can't transfer any files from 7650 to PC . 😞
