Hello everyone, this is my first post here
sorry in advance if my question has already been answered, i honestly looked with no avail.

my problem is when i have a certain ring tone selected on my nokia n-gage, sometimes it wont use it, the phone will use the factory ringtone, the same annoying one that it was useing when i first got it, turning the phone on and off seems to be a temporary fix, i have gone through and made sure the right ringtone i want is selected many times, so i know that there is a problem, thank you in adavance for any help

Definitely strange. Are your ringtones on the MMC?Maybe your MMC is used by another application so the OS can't access the ringtone and switches to the default one.

The system will default to the Jungle.mid sound if you are using a ringtone residing in the MMC while currently being used by another application, e.g Music Player.

I have an equal share of strange N-Gage problems too. I set my ringtone volume to full but when it starts ringing, it would be very soft and sounds like it's only halfway thru the bars. A switch-off/switch on wont help, it just cures itself after a day or two. Now that's weird!

Case 2: When I have used my n-gage heavily, say, playing hours of games or hours of Mp3, the phone wont ring at all! Even though the calling party would hear a ringing tone on their telephone.

I think we should we compile an "N-Gage X-Files".... because we hear lots of problems which are unexplained phenomenon... hehehe...

Dont worry bud, you are not alone. Some people also have transgenic n-gages! 😃

Yes I have a wierd story to I have often sat there just messing with the phone when all of a suden i hear a voice come from it and its basically someone has called me and without ringing or doing anything it automaticaly answers it. This has happened to me a few times now I dont mind since its like an extra cool feature.

Shadow, you have Any Key answer turned On. Turn the feature off, and only the Answer key will answer the call.

sorry, i am really new at this, mmc?, the ringtone files i have downloaded and such can be played through the recorder if that can be of any help. Someone said it will use the jungle ringtone if the selected ringtone is in use by another app, the ringtone it uses is the jungle ringtone, so i believe this may be it, but now how do i fix it? thank you in adavance

Check if any application are runnig in the background by holding the menu key.If there are, close them by selecting them and pressing the "C" key.
