My 6600's battery drains out everyday. I get an average of 1 or 2 calls a day.. but sometimes I play games! & rarely use camera... Still I need to recharge battery everyday for atleast 2 hrs.
Is it healthy to charge teh phone overnight?

I think your battery is damaged. My battery last 3 days with 6-7 calls/day/.A little camera use and some games
I tested my battery of the charger 135mins straight talk time, of the charger no calls 3 1/2 days (I think signal strength has a lot to do with bat life) mix of calls 10 -15mins total, surfing for 10mins and maybe 45mins of games 1 1/2 days.
If you have bluetooth enabled then it will nearly half the batery lengh??

I have never had more than 2 days battery life, but I use bluetooth and 3 or 4 five minute calls a day, some txts, and other applications.
I have to charge the phone every night, as I use the phone for business mainly and depend on it.
I speak about 1 hour a day , I play 1 hour games a day but I like playing with it all the time (add/remove programmes...).
I charge it every 2-2.5 days.
If you have installed screensaver uninstall it because it use lot of battery !😃
you can utilize your power consumption by putting your display lights to low... I use the phone everytime... I play games, send sms, call, file transfer using bluetooth now and then, listen to MP3, browse and many more... good battery life... depends how you use the phone...
i guess there might b something wrong with it as well. mine lasts for bot 2 days top since i do use the camera and 5 calls a day and my girl likes playin a lot of rayman 3 on it. so 2 days is not bad for me since my 7650 lasted only 20 hrs.😃
anorthisis hows cyprus, my family comes from there, i reside in new zealand now?
I study at Newcastle (UK). Am not in Cyprus now. I'll go next month! 😛 They will like it.
If you let the battery fully discharge once a week and then charge it, i find the battery lasts considerably longer.
I know this is only basic phone know how but it definately works!😊
I use screen saver, time-out 1 min. the display brighness is 75%. No bluetooth at all. Let me uninstall the screen saver, reduce brightness to 50% and I'll check the result..
FYI: my phone is just 1 month old.
thanks all.
I used it intensively and I allways got BT on.It lasts for the hole day.I always plug it in when I get home so I don't know for how long can it last exactly.
I played around with applications and battery consumption.
As far as I can see, the bad guy is the screen saver. When I use powerlock, the battery lasts about 1 day, sometimes less. With the default screensaver I get 2-2.5 days until I have to recharge even with doing 2-3 calls a day and using BT and taking pictures. 😊
Harry
Yep, The culprit is Screensaver.. I uninstalled that... and now my battery is gr8...!!
Thanks all.
help!! i use text only and maybe 2-3 minutes call a day but it only last bout 2 days. I bought a new battery but it still the same. (bought it about a week ago).
Would it be possible if the unit is the one with a defect??? please help. thx...
With VERY minimal usage i managed to push it out to 4 days once, but it only just made it before it died. My average battery life would be around 2 - 3 days. Thats with a couple of calls a days, checking email using agile messenger and sending mms and sms. If i play games like prince of persia sot and strip poker 😃 It kills the battery much quicker, maybe 1 - 2 days max.
How do i uninstall the screensaver?

I think they're talking about an aftermarket one. All the applications you can uninstall are listed when you go Menu>Manager, then you just select and uninstall and hope it works😉.
I haven't called nok yet, but does anyone know if the power manager is integrated into the battery or the phone? There may be some resets we could feed it...just depends.
does having BT activated (not necesarrily connected & trasmitting) takes much juice from the battery? is it at all signifiacant ? I use BT quite often, and really don't apreciate turning it on & off all the time 😊

Yes it does still drain the battery,as there is still a signal output.
Just assign a good shortcut for bt.

How do you assign a shortcut to BT ? I have an HBH 65 paired with my N6600 and use it only when driving. It will be great to have a shortcut to HBH 65 in my Menu instead of going through all the key presses.. Is it possible ? 😊

Set 'bluetooth' as one of the softkeys (making a total of 2 button presses to switch on)
Or move the bt icon (in the grid view) out of the connect folder into the first page of the menu and press 'menu' and the corresponding number ie 8 (if you move it to the bottom middle) making a total of 3 button presses. You can select any shortcut option between 1-9 for this.
Or set up a voice tag for bt.
