I am trying to make some new themes but while I am trying to make a .sis file then Theme Studio gives the "bmconv.exe error" I read in someplace that if you see that error that means you must change your list highlight image, but when I changed the image it still gives the same error! What is the solution if anyone knows please help!!!!

What will you do without using theme editor? Are you going to draw themes by pen 😕 😃 I want to use this program but i need help, please anybody knows the solution of this problem??
Use ready themes ! Or find another theme editor ! 😛
Hi,
I get the exact same error, had it yesterday after making a new theme and loads of times in the past.
I have traced the problem to some of the components written into the theme's folder in the Theme Studio directory.
Namely the corner pieces of the 'list' picture.
First, create a copy of the folder of the theme you are working on, so you have the original.
Now, go back to the one in the Theme Studio folder, usually installed on your PC's C: drive. Go C: - Program Files - Theme Studio - Data - Skinsdir - and you will see all the themes viewable within Studio.
Open up the theme giving you the problems to see the files and remove these from the theme :
qsn_fr_list_corner_bl_image1
qsn_fr_list_corner_br_image1
qsn_fr_list_corner_tl_image1
qsn_fr_list_corner_tr_image1
Now open Theme Studio again, double click the theme to display it and try creating the .SIS file again, it should work.
If it doesn't, copy those removed parts back into it, from the saved folder and try removing some other corner pieces and recreating again.
Sometimes this leaves a picture with no corners, so once it's working try altering that piece again and creating the .sis.
As to why this problem occurs I have no idea, it's just annoying when you make a nice theme and get hassle.

hi!..
Yes ... is the HIGHLIGHT image...
You need to try shinking horizontally the image on the editor...
leave at least one pixel free at both sides of the image...
this happend sometimes with some images, i think that depends
on the color...
the normal image that is 176 wide it's ok if you don't use (leave with a blank color) the first (left) and the last (right) pixel columns of this image ...
hope this help you all...
This Editor has some error.. but still the best one by now ..

Hi Aefox,
I'm going to try this mate, leaving a pixel widths line on each side.
Your colour theory will explain why sometimes it's ok and other times it isn't to.
Ian
Thanx all of you I will try it when I am free in time
Hey All,
We've hit the nail on the head.
Do as Aefox has said leaving a 1 pixel border and it works, I have only tried a white one so far.
Or do as I found and take away the corners and it works, the only problem with this is that you get squares missing.
Must be the colour, if you guys try different ones let us know which ones work.
Ian
hi!..
yep coolice...
i mean blank pixel.. no matter the color there...
glad to that help you..

😞 my computer says it has something to do with java 4.0 error or so!
what to do what to do!
Update,
This error is not only the List Highlight, the Calendar image can also create Bmconv.exe.
If this happens you need to delete files / qsn_fr_cale_side_l_image1 and qsn_fr_cale_side_r_image1
Copy the files first so they can be replaced if this is not the problem.
😊
I have done everything ; " leaving a pixel widths line on each side" and "Update,
This error is not only the List Highlight, the Calendar image can also create Bmconv.exe.
If this happens you need to delete files / qsn_fr_cale_side_l_image1 and qsn_fr_cale_side_r_image1"
But stiill have BMConv.exe Errorrr :icon4: :icon4: 😡 😡 What i am doing wrong :con?:con?:con?
I think there is a problem with list highligt image still, I am shrinking it horizontally however in checkout it seems like i haven't changed it?? But I am shrinking it horizontally from left and right sides...
There is something strange!!! When I try to save the list highlight image after shrinking it, THere is something transparent in both sides when I point there with my mouse, i again try to make it smaller then the picture becomes something in 3 parts but still it seems like it didn't become smaller ??? :frown:
This is the thing which i shrink from left and right sides ;
What is wrong with this??? And after I save thing again and again sometimes this happen
You need to make sure that the pixels x:173 y:0+1 and x:0+1 y:131 are a solid colour (white in the standard image, but can be any colour as long as its the same).
😊
Btw: Theme studio would probally run much smoother without so many programs running Lol. 😊
Try filling in the white areas with the bucket so as to make sure there are no shades there!

What u mean by this?? how to be sure that they are in correct pixels, and also how to make solid colour for the theme?? can you upload some images elton that showing how to do step by step :con? 😃 :icon14:
If you look at the default list image, which i have attached above, you will see that the 2 bottom left pixels and the top right are left blank (the x and y are the exact locations of the pixels in the 173x131 image, but as you are using 'Ms paint' it wont show these numbers).
The list highlight corners are cut out to create different size lists when the .sis file is created,so unless these colours are the same you will get the error as they cant be matched!
I would suggest that you get a better paint program for creating themes as 'Ms paint' really wont cut it,you need to make sure the image you use is 173x131.
Good luck 😊
