Very excited to see iSync 1.4 released with Nokia 6600 support. Rushed out and bought the phone and have been very impressed. And after some early problems got the iSync/Bluetooth thing working great. Except; I don't seem to get all the contact info transferred. Sometimes I get all numbers and address info for a contact and sometimes not, on a person by person basis. Anyone else getting this?
iSync 1.4 & Nokia 6600 Woes
Yeah. I had this.
Carefully watch out for the type of phone number. If you have 4 (other) or 4 (work) phone numbers, only one or two get over.
Since I imported all my addresses in Addressbook, The types were mangled. I rearranged them, and since then everything is ok.

Thanks Wok. Actually discovered the route of my problem was making custom titles for items in Address Book. For instance, if I turned home into simply address, the Nokia won't see it. Turn the title back into a default and all is well again.
You using the Nokia 6600 as a modem wok?

To be honest: Not yet. I tried it with my Palm T3, but it did not work. I have not used it with my Powerbook...

Hi All,
I'm an experienced Mac user (Mac OS X 10.3.2, iSync 1.4) and use iSync to work with a number of devices including a Treo 600 and Sony Ericsson P900 with no real problems.
But trying to get it to work with the Nokia 6600 is killing me. It refuses to synch the contacts, always generating a low memory error from the phone. This is even with the phone completely formatted as new with absolutely nothing installed.
I've done lots of experimenting and it seems it can't synch contacts unless I remove all pictures from the AddressBook. This is ridiculous since iSync touts synching contact pictures with Symbian phones. Note this works with a SE P900. Even if I only try to synch two contact each with pictures it fails with the same low memory error. I've tried reducing the pictures down to 32 pixel square images with the same problems.
On the Apple iSync discussion board at least one person is claiming it synchs fine with pictures. Is only here doing that? I've spent two days trying to get this to work and I'm not going to get rid of a hundred pictures just to use something that's supposed to work anyway. I've tried all the tips about removing iSync plist files etc, with no success. Any tips from anyone?
Thanks for any help in advance!
Hi bcaslis.
Have found after my initial frustrations that the 6600 and iSync 1.4 work as billed. Have had no other problems apart from my previously described and fixed woe.
Sure you have already but here's a few things to look out for.
1) Firewall seems to come into play. Make a hole called Blutooth/iSync at 3004.
2) Install Bluetooth Firmware Update;

3) Install Bluetooth Updater 1.5

Have no problems with the pictures. Mine were tiffs from the address book. What format are yours?
Hope you get it working, know how frustarting it is and how great it becomes. iSync working great with my phone and the address book bluetooth options and transferring files and using 6600 as GPRS modem. Good luck.
