Hey y'all,
Just wondering if anyone knows of software that I can use to send SMSs from my PC while the P800 is connected to it (USB or Bluetooth). It seems so logical, I can manage my contacts, upload and download files, go on the net but if I want to write an SMS I have to pick up the phone and use the fiddly (compared to a keyboard) interface!!
If not, why not!!
Ta.
not anymore...
I use RemotePx00 which can be used to emulate your phone's screen on your PC monitor, so you can browse the web, send SMSs, MMSs, even copy and paste stuff from your PC to your phone or vise versa!
you'll get more info and download the trial version fro this link

Cheers hAnDyGUY. That is indeed a really excellent piece of software, but really what I'm looking for is something a lot simpler.
Just a program I can whack up on screen, type the message and number and hit enter. Even better would be one that can be run from the command line parameters, then I could set-up shortcuts for messages 😊
Try Desktop Message p800.

I think it won't allow you to write an SMS from your PC (was that the main topic 😕 ) but it gives you many features reagrding SMSs
Have a look at http://www.gnokii.org/
It gives you an pc interface for writing SMS on many phones.
Sending an SMS is possible just by hyperterm with AT commands to the phone.
