I recently upgraded my phone from a 7650 to 6600. I noticed however that unlike my 7650, I cannot send tones that Ive installed in my 6600 to other phones (like my 7650) via infrared or Bluetooth. I cant seem to find this option. In my 7650, I can transfer (via IR/Blueetooth) tones through recorder. Quite odd. I can however transfer images via a send option.
Any inputs?
😕
Download one of these softwares. find the tones section, find the tone select options send. it will offer bluetooth infrared or multimedia
thanks freedom. i was just hoping that with this model, Nokia has already included this very simple and basic function to avoid the need to install 3rd party application just for the purpose of sending tones via IR/BT. Their 7650/3650 have this function, why remove this in their newer and more "advanced" model? Anyway, will just install fexexplorer/selecq to solve this problem. 😊

im sure ive sent ringtones via ir without using 3rd party apps before. Cant remember how , ill get back to you
hyperfocal,
If your new 6600 is on the new firmware (4.09.1), you will not be able to send, via BT or IR, .mid & .sis files. Nokia kinda installed a 'rights protection' code in the new firmware.
But theres ofcourse a way to get around this and all you need is either FExplorer or SeleQ. If you need to send a midi file, all you need to do is find that file and rename it and have an underscore at the very last of the name.
e.g.Marron 5 - This love.mid should be renamed to Maroon 5 - This love.mid_
The same goes for .sis files and any other files that you might have difficulty sending via IR & BT. Renaming should always be done via FExplorer or SeleQ. Once you renamed, then you will be able to send it from the Gallery section.
Hope thats useful info for you. 😎
or u can change the file extension from .mid to .amr phone stil reconises as a ringtone but give the option of sending it
