Bluetrek G2 problems

1 replies · 1,731 views · Started 24 February 2004

I bought the Bluetrek G2 because it claimed 9 hours talk and 300 hours standby...
I charged it to full charge and turned it on, made a pair with the phone and all seemed well. A quick call confirmed it works lovely (great sound btw).
I hung up and went to work.

I kept the headset on all day, but didnt make any calls. about 8pm the battery in the headset was dead!!!
Thats hardly 12hours standby, not 300 as quoted.

Somebody tells me that 'Standby' means OFF and not connected to the phone and 'Talktime' includes all time that it is showing an active bluetooth connection on the phone even if you are not in a call.

Does anybody else have a headset that can verify this?

I sent the headset back once and they claim to have replaced it, but it is the same as the original one in terms of battery life, I dont know if ive been sold a dodgy headset or what.

I am very confused and dont know who to beleive.
HELP!

which phone are you using this with?

if you change the bluetooth profile (headset/handsfree) then you should be able to squeeze twice the talktime/standby you are currently getting.
