Hi there, I had a problem today.
Decided to finally upgrade my firmware (v3.16!) since I've finally found a use for bluetooth and it now now longer works.
Checked the forum and read about the upgrade so searched for a NSC nearby.
I found a store (which is a NSC) and they said they could do it while I waited.
All good, I'm happy.
They come back after 15 minutes and tell me there's a problem and I'd have to have it sent in to Nokia.
This would take between 3 to 6 weeks and would cost me between 60 to 100 euros!
BTW, I'm no longer under warrantee.
I was all prepped to pay the 24 or so euros for the upgrade but this is just too much!
The phone works fine except for the bluetooth problem so I don't understand what could be the big problem!
The kicker is that these people refuse to tell me exactly what was wrong with it...apparently the repair guy was 'too busy' to talk to me....
I don't know about you, but if I'm expected to pay this much for repairs and lose my phone for so long, I want to know exactly what's wrong with it and why they can't fix it there.
Do any of you guys know what the problem could be? As far as I know there's nothing wrong with the phone.
Aside from the bluetooth problem which, I believe, is common with the older firmware.
So now I'm 12 euros lighter (for the honor of having the guy look at it for 15 minutes) and have nothing to show for it.
Atleast they didn't kill my phone....
Peace, Ruben
