how do you remove op logo?

18 replies · 11,929 views · Started 24 February 2004

i'm running a few really nice themes but they are spoiled by my o2 operator logo.

how can I remove it? and when I remove it will i be able to see the top bar of the theme properly?

Ok I no it's late and pay day but you use Fexplorer and basically search through the folders on your phone to find the op logo you installed then deleate it i think it is in C:/Nokia/apps/

But keep searching for it here is the fxplor

Yourmum,
There is nothing in op logo folder by default,he is talking about the original op logo!!!
Only thing i know to do is make a 1 pixel pic and send it to phone then set as op logo using Fexplorer or equiv and it will just be clear!
It doesnt affect the view of anything!
Op logo is in C:system/apps/phone/op logo

ok guys now, before i got round to sending my 1 clear pixel image to my phone. i deleted the old oplogo which was the 'o2' symbol. and now on my desktop it has gone and been replaced by text saying 'O2 - UK' but it is not an image.

a) can i edit this text?

b) can i remove the text so it is totally clear to see my theme?

When i put in my new clear pixel.bmp there was no difference, i could still see the theme behind but the text remains. so I do not need this pixel i think?

HI!..

That operator logo text can't be deleted... so the best
way to clear that area is making an image that match with
the theme...

You can make that only if you created the theme...

just crop an exact image (97 x 25) from the theme in that area
then use that image like oplogo.. and wa la! hehe!

But you need to get the exact relative possition
to make the right crop...

hope this help you

thanks for the reply,

seems a little bit much bother for each theme i use, can i edit the text... to perhaps my name or something?

Nope...

you can't edit the op text...

and nope.. if you put your one pixel image
you will see a white image using all the area... not
just one pixel..

Elton,

what network are you on? can you attach your pixel up to this thread for me to try, I can understand the theory of why your method should work.

I made a 1x1 pixel clear BMP file in MS Paint and uploaded it to my oplogo folder which was actually on my memory card, replaced the old logo deleting it and inserting my new one, there was no difference however.

Adam you have given me a right head ache working this one out😊

SeleQ stretches the image to 97x25.😡
FExplorer does not do this.😃

How many Restarts did i do lol🙄

Ps. If you prefer SeleQ as i do you can remove Fexplorer and the logo will still work after. It will still be in the oplogo folder of course but will not be stretched out!

Hi Elton,

So using FExplorer the image isn't stretched and hence there is just one pixel somewhere meaning that the rest of the 97x25 is transparent so you see the theme under it?

I'm going to try it in a mo, so I know for myself rather than thinking.

Also I noticed Psiloc System Tools has an oplogo section, may try that also.

Ian

lets solve this op logo problem once and for all, why dont we start makeing themes that dont show the opperator Text, and tell users to remove the opperator "logo".

Well done surge,
You obviously know nothing about this phone or making themes for it!😡
