Hey.
I've had my 6600 since christmas, and the T9 on it is slowly getting dumber.
instead of you i get yot (first time i am talking about)
instead of in/go etc. i get gm
things like that
now i have no idea where these words are coming from, but it is getting progressively worse.
Has this happened to anyone else?
if so how did you fix it?
i would rather avoid a software reset TBH...
T9 slowly getting stupider...
You must have entered them by mistake in the Dictionary.
When you need to write a rarely used word it is best to enter the first letter then press joystick right and enter next letter, this way it doesnt get saved in the T9.
If you re enter and save the correct word in the dictionary it will give you the new word option first time, the old one will still be there tho!
The words are sorted into a queue as and when you save them!
Kyuro,
My phone is doing exactly the same. I have formated it fuly once and it still does it.
And I have not accidently entered the words by mistake. I get "yot" and lots of others, I could not have made that many mistakes lol!
the thing is though that i havn't added "yot" or some of the other words into the dictionary.
Today it got worse though
Where i used to get "yot" i changed it with one keypress to "you" but now i have to do 2, one for "yot" and one for the new word which has appeared, "yov" and i know for certain that i nor anyone has added these words to the dictionary...
i have to press 5 times to get you on mine had it since launch i wonder where on the phone the doctionary is stored maybe i can then wipe it

I have the same problem with mine.
I get 'yot' too - is there any way we can feed back to Nokia that there may be some kind of bug?
c:\system\Data\t9udb0f.dat
delete and reboot.
this FIXES the issue i have written about!
Thanks Tofire!
