if you check the N-Gage forum there is a guide to converting files to Series 60 specifications.
It's in the main FAQ thread.
and it isn't N-Gage specific so just follow what it says and all will go well 😊
Hi
i did convert the mpeg 4 file to 3gp file which is playable in the 6600. i used the Nokia multimedia converter 2.0 which is downloaded from nokia Forum website. but you have to registered with the forum site. then you will receive the serial number to install the software.
it is a great software. music video i converted is playing very well.
3gp quality is not as good as rm tho!
That is not true. The problem is Nokias multimedia convertor because it has very few options that you can play with.3GPP is a standard and its not limited to Nokia's multimedia convertor. You can also produce 3GPP files in a 3gp/mp4 container with PvAuthor/Mpegable and even Virtual Dub.With these application you can encrease the bitrate of 3gp/mp4 files and produce high quality videos.
That would explain why all the 3gp videos i have seen are crap quality then!😊

Helix Producer is the way forward.
