How can I upgrade my firmware without sending to Nokia ?
I have 3.42.1
When I start the phone, the Nokia welcome tune does not play correctly.
Is this my phone or a known issue ???

Firmware upgrading and 'issues'
You can do it by sending/going to a Nokia authorized repair center (instead of sending to Nokia).
The welcome tune can, e.g., be interrupted by some application starting up in the background (typically one with a so called "recognizer" component).
I had the same problem with my 6600 with the welcome sound not playing smoothly. i just reformat my phone by entering *#7370# be sure to backup your phone memory before you do that though or all informations will be lost. i hope this helps you😊
does tha backing up of the phone include my bookmarks and apn settings for wap and mms?

im not sure about the mms setting and bookmarks but im pretty sure your contacts will be backed up. just to make sure, write down your mms settings and bookmarks
