thinking of getting a pocket dictionary software for my 6600...
any one tried any dictionary?
just a simple english dictionary to check the meaning and spelling...
no need any language conversion, etc...

Agree with Slovoed, I bought it. Didn't sit down with a huge paper dictionary and try to catch it out, but of all the words I could think of that might not be in it, only 1 was missing. The entries are reasonably clear too. It's the University of Princeton dictionary afaik, but seems to have UK as well as US spellings, and has a little bit of encyclopedia style information as well. Only problem is that it can be a bit slow to retrieve entries for words with a lot of meanings etc.
(btw, the missing word was adipocere if you were wondering...)
Thats a shame,i was about to buy that app but if such a common word like "adipocere" isnt in there i guess its not worth it lol😃

was thinking of handago advance pocket dictionary but not released yet...
dun think i need to know the word adipocere though...
geez, tough word!
Well, of the words I could think of, despite not having the realtively oft used adipocere, it did manage the every day words like etiolated, scrofulous, stertorous, crepitate etc etc. So it should at least be invaluable when you're compiling a shopping list!
... but I couldn't find an 'English to English' option for the 6600. Is there one?
Cheers
