p900 problem

There are times when I full charge my p900 overnight, the next day my p900's battery will drain so fast ( after 6 hours battery status becomes 40%) even without using it much (blutooth disabled, not using mp3, not playig games)....

Does this occur to anyone of you?

It's happened to a few people in the past. Assuming it's not something silly like having the backlight set to always on (that'll kill your battery quickly enough) try a full recharge cycle;

1. Let your P900 run until it switches itself off
2. Charge for a good 8-10 hours
3. Repeat two or three times

If this doesn't improve things dramatically then I'm afraid it's a trip to a service centre.

i had this problem after upgrading to the first upgrade for orange users, then after they recently released their second one, the battery drain problem has gone again, thank god.

I have had this in two circumstances; firstly when I have installed software on the phone by emailing it to the phone (rather than from the cradle) and not restarting the phone. I think especially if you overwrite an existing copy of software on the phone, it does something bad in the OS.

The other condition that has caused it is if I am in a very bad reception area, or one where my phone is continually ROAMing to different providers. The log-on/log-off to cell cycle takes stack loads of power out of the phone. My phone dies quickly in Southend (because it is always getting almost no signal and ramps its power up to full to try and stay in touch) and in Paris (because they have three providers across the city and the phone switches between them as you move around).
