Hi there,
I just was at my local Nokia Shop to ask for a firmware upgrade and they told me there is no update available at the moment.
I have 3.42.1, German version.
As far as I remember some people posted here and in other forums that they have higher versions on their phones.
Is there any official site where current available firmware versions can be found or any source of available versions?

The latest generic firmware for the 6600 is 3.42.1, some networks have there own versions of Firmware.
e.g Orange in the UK are using 3.49.2. They have special services which not all the other networks use. Voicemail for example, orange have a symbol which tells users when they have voice messages. Also line 2 symbols. No other UK networks use these services. I beleive the orange network is built on all Nokia equiptment.
There will be a new version of firmware for both generic & operator specific versions very soon.

not true. there is 3.48 by nokia official. also 3.49.1 is flashed in my country officially by nsc here since they dont know 3.48 but i guess u cant use the services orange offers.
Well I hope it will be an easy download /install when its released.
I hope it resolves the startup tone not playing correctly etc.
Please post a STICKY when the firmware is released.
