when i hold the menu button to see the programs working, i see a program called dyntone running. I can't close it, its represented by a piece of jigsaw and its really bugging me. it doesn't appear to have any side effects, but it may take up memory, i don't know. I haven't installed any new programs recently either.

I just typed dytone on google and found out that its a process from an application called madwave madmixer.

DynTone is the background process enabling you to change your ringtone dynamically on incoming calls - it's part of the MadMixer package, and is a very light "application". Its only purpose is to detect incoming calls and to launch the MadMixer application when it needs to remix the ringtone after the call is hung up.
The reason why you can't "activate" it is to keep it as light as possible in its memory usage by not embedding all the Human Interface framework...

If you appreciate the MadMixer application, but really don't want the DynTone process to "consume" your memory, you may want to do a simple thing: using FExplorer (or any file browser), move the "C:\system\Recogs\MadRecog.MDL" file somewhere else (or delete it if you don't want to use that feature in the future), and DynTone will no more run in the background when you will restart your phone... But of course you will loose the Dynamix Ringtone Remix feature of MadMixer!

Have a nice day,
