MP3 Help Needed!

10 Arial royal blue Hi, i'm new here. the problem i'm having is, when i install any mp3 player (e.g. ultramp3) into my N-gage, the phone stops using it as a ringtone and i can't seem to select it as a ringtone either. Can anyone help me on this? Thanx alor!

That's an internal system thing. When you install a mp3 player, it aasociates itself with the mp3 files just like on PC. Normally mp3 files are not associated with any program. I had the same problem with Helix Player (new Real Player, still under development). I removed the player and it fixed it.

So the only thing I can recommend is to uninstall mp3 player that you installed and change your ringtone. After that you can reinstall mp3 player. N-Gage plays previously set mp3 tones even if you can't see them on the list.

Thanx alot for your help! Meaning that if i install the mp3 player into N-gage and leave the ringtone unchange, it'll still take the mp3 as my ringtone rite? thanx again mate

Why do you want a third-party mp3 player when your n-gage has one built-in? These 3rd party applications only play in mono while the n-gage plays stereo. So which one you think is better?

Thanx for the info, i don't really know anything about N-gage, I just got it few days back. I wanted a third party MP3player because they have this cool visualization thing. One question, do you know how to change the alarm tone? thanx again!

ya, it was posted in some previous threads that you can't change the alarm tone directly through the n-gage's alarm program. You have to download a 3rd party alarm software. Search the forum for more info.
