Can anyone Tell me how to set 02 active to turn off and stay turned off even when i restart the phone?

I do not understand what the problem is, please explain a little further so we maybe able to help you!!

every time i turn on the phone in the morning, 02 active comes on and starts connecting to the wap without even asking. i would like to disable the auto startup when the phone is switched on

Hi,

You can't, unless you remove it mate.

I had the text come through, downloaded it via GPRS, looked at it and then deleted it as it kept coming on after the restarts.

Shame, but each time you have to go into it and actually turn it off which is a pain. Why couldn't they have made it come on when the user wanted it to.

Best suggestion, delete it. It only looks good and isn't really needed.

thanks for the prompt reply. it does look flashy but i haven't used it yet. looks like deleting it is the best thing to do

Hi,

Yeah, as you say it looks really nice. But why they made it auto-on I don't know. Especially as some people have to pay for thier GPRS, the last thing they need is to have a connection running which they don't know about.

Shame, wonder what release 2 will be like 😉

Yeah, they should include an option to disable the auto startup of that thing. I ended up removing it as it was really an un-needed program, and a bit fat in filesize too.

even when u delete it it still leaves lots of crap on the memory card and an icon that has to be deleted using seleQ

And when its on it doesnt show you any missed calls etc. I didnt like the way it auto connected to gprs even afer i turned the option off in the menu. I ended up deleting it.

Good idea though if it was made a bit better.

Hi, Can someone help me set up my internet so that Opera will work with 02 active? Thanks in advance. Sorry if this is a little off topic ^^
