MA620 Infrared and XP Pro. trouble

Hi folks,

I really need some help with my 7650 and my infrared connection. I think the MA620 usb infrared device installs fine but when i install the nokia suite the mrouter program only shows infrared connection. It doesn't say anything else or show any COM ports. If i select it and connect my phone it says it is connected but the damn nokia suite software doesn't think it is. Windows will also recognise it as a nokia 7650 and install a "standard IR link modem" in the device manger to confuse me even further.

I have tried it on a friends comp with XP home (i have XP pro) and it works fine. The mrouter program shows cable and unknown on the COM ports as well as an infrared connection.

Can anyone help me????

Hmm. I have XP and a Tekram-infrared device and Nokia suite and it all works together fine, absolutely no problems. Only thing is that it confuses my infrared mouse when the connection is establised 😊 ... and I did find no way to end the connection without pulling the infrared-usb.

I did not use the drivers which came with the device but downloaded the newest XP-drivers from the Tekram-Homepage. Perhaps u have old drivers installed??

Mine works fine, had a little trouble at first, but then i clicked pn Mrouter and selected Infrared (it says non connected) then rebooted..

Then loaded suite up and it asked to be allowed through ZoneAlarm (Firewall) and recognized my phone just fine.
