My p900 keeps restarting it self in the middle of phone calls. It then displays a message saying " The phone reterated in order to improve performance" I have been using the headset or bluetooth SE 65 and it seems to happen with both.
I have the latest firm ware the phone is a week old vodafone. I have not yet put any applications on it.
Any ideas what is going on? It is a great phoe I would hate to return.
you might just need to free up some memory (search this forum) if that dose not help, the best way is to contact SE support team. good luck
the problem i had when my phone kept on restarting was that a piece of software that i had installed kept making the phone restart, but the other day (two days ago i think), i got a call that woke me up, and i answered it, and then the phone just restarted itself, and it was really annoying as it was from a witheld number so i didn't know who it was to cell back on, but i think that isn't consistant, as it's only happened once, and your's is, so i guess it's something up with the firmware as noted above 😉
The problem might be connected to bluetooth connection being turned on. I have a HBH-65 paired. i tried with connections confirmation checked and unchecked and it still crashes when Istart a phone conversation and try to swich to BT.
I re-paired the BT but no change!!
i have been using the p900 for a week with the BT and had no problems. Before the first restart poblem I had changed the p900 settings to by unchecking Visable to other devices" Since then I put the cehck mark back in but this did not imorve anything.

hi i had same problem with mine too after upgrading the firmware it was solved, so i recommend youto upgrade you firmware from SE site regd.
i got the same restart to improve performance pop up when i was running IM+.
Best thing to do is load up something like SMAN or swicher and take a look at what is running. switcher has a nice feature where you can "free memory".
As camranaa said, I think you should flash your phone at SE's website.
I had the same problem i formated my phone and installed everything from scratch .
And have not seen the restart thing since.

can you flash the p900 by downloading the flash file and over a bluetooth connection of do you need the docking station as i would like to format mine to a clean sony ericsson install and get rid of all this orange crap
Yip you need to use the base station to do an upgrade, and a windows pc.

I myself have this same problem, but after trying many time to update over SE's update service it just says something like not supported by your operator? but i have updated b4 with other orange p900's??? weired...
