Video limits

Hi,

Forgive me if this question has already been answered - I have searched the forums, but found no-one with a similar problem.

I have encoded a few videos into 3gp format using mpegable broadcaster. These video's came from a variety of sources (internet, DVD etc), so they were all of different qualities and lengths.

I have found that the longest video my phone can play is 1:39 - it seems to stop at this point on each of the videos I use. Even if I change the quality settings, RealPlayer still seems to stop at 1:39.

Can anyone advise me on what I can do? Has anyone had/heard of this problem?

I should mention that I only tried using RealPlayer, I have not tried the other video players yet.

I would upload my test videos, but Matt Groening would probably not be pleased! 😉

Thanks in advance,

Mike

No problems here, encode using PVAuthor.

Realplayer plays full movirs no probs, files as big as 100mb.

Sounds like your encoder has a problem or maybe demo????

Yes, it's a demo version of the mpegable encoder. The funny thing is, the movies seem to be ok on my PC - they will play the full movie. This is very strange!

If possible, can someone post a video that they have watched themselves? Just so I can test it with a known good.

Mike

It seems that the problem is down to my encoder. 😊

I downloaded some videos from a mobile phone site (I'm not linking because the legality of some of their material is somewhat questionable), and they all played perfectly.

Four minutes thirty three seconds of Christina Aguilera jumping around in skin tight red rubber... god bless Nokia, Christina, RealNetworks and copyright infringers everywhere! 😉

i had something similar in the beginning, not with mpegable broadcadter but with the x4 live. i take there are both the same with the only difference being the streaming support. and of course the price ... the braodcaster is 300 euros, x4 live sets you back 19 euros

so, one thing you should also be aware of is your source material. once that is already out of tune for example or has any problem then you will have these kind of probs. if your source material is fine, then everything works fine. i never had a problem anymore after if ound that out 😊 and have also found no other app that is as good as the x4 live.

hope this helps a little
