Hello, I've just bought a nokia 6600, and read about how to format it, but what do you mean by "your 6600 will back to the original system and factory settting." ? Does it mean it will appear "clean" like the very 1st time we switch on the phone and no rubbish applications, icons all go back to it's very original place, just like what i saw the very 1st time when i switch on the new phone?Like a newly clean installed windows?😮

err....how many times can we reformat it? does it has a limit like a cd-rw.....thousand times...?

I don't think it really has a limit as it's not actually erasing itself blank.
It is keeping the OS so I'm guessing it's just erasing user available memory and returning the phone to factory settings.
The restore to factory setting function means that all the phone functions will get back to the original state.
This does not apply to the software you have installed.
In example, this feature only reases the MMS, WAP AND GPRS POINTS, SETTINGS DONE IN PROFILES AND SO ON.
The software will be erased from phone memory only when you format the 6600.
But when you install software on MMC....well...you need to format MMC as wel....😊

Like TheSpecialBoy said,if its installed in phone memory it will be erased.*#7370 formats only phone memory.If its installed on the MMC it wont be erased and you will need to format the MMC also.
