problem with xp to connect infraRed

please help me is someone knows aboutmy problem
my proble is i am useing both OS windows xp &windows me
now the problem is when i use windows me my system detect my phone perfectly & it also work verywell but when i tried same on xp it wont work
i had tried all think unstall install infra but nothing happen
i got reply that irda socket problem in connecting
please let me know what is this problem & how to solve it

start>control panel>wireless link>hardware>properties>advanced>IR trancereceiver type change to sigmatel 4000 then restart and connect agn.. hope this helps

I got so fed up configuring IR to sync with a Series 60 phone, I just meself a Billionto Bluetooth dongle. Too many drivers for IR and it's all so complicated

i used to have the same probs .. but after doin that change .. i got it to work .. works quiet well for me for the time being ..

Lower your IrDA speed.

Go to Device Manager > Infra Red Device > Propteries > Advanced.

Lower the Data Rate/Speed Limit/etc to 115200 or 115.2.

If this doesn't work lower it again to the next setting.
