I have done a complete format (phone and mmc) how do i get back the opera and the other mmc apps i had installed on phone like it was when i took it out from the box ?
you will need to download it from the Opera site (6600 version) then you need to contact a Nokia service centre to request a new serial number (download is trial) they will then tell you they don't have a clue what you're talking about (🙄 ) so you can then contact opera who will supply you with a serial.
ECHHHH,,So strange.
So there is no all nokia data sis file available....that allows me to restore.
May be I shall be able to recover from a backup...
If you have a Nokia 6600 you can Download for free at the Opera Site and you get the key for free: http://www.opera.com/support/search/supsearch.dml?index=746
I need to format my 6600 and was worried about how to get Opera back, so I contacted them and they have sent me a new registration code.
But now I am wondering what happens to the Real One player after formatting phone and MMC? Will it still be there? If not, where/how do I get it from?
And what about the other default apps the phone comes with? Are they still there after formatting?
Tx!
ROM based apps like RealOne Player will still be there after a reformat.

You only get the key for free if your 6600 came with a full version of Opera when supplied new.
For many of us, we have to pay !
Thanks for the help guys. I formatted, and phone is much better behaved now.
I got Opera reinstalled, but just a note to anyone else that does it is that I have lost the Kodak photo app (which lets you upload pics to some server on the net) and the Printing App (which I think lets you print to bluetooth printers). I made a backup of the MMC card which they were on, do you think I can just copy the files back on the MMC card?
Another strange thing is that now, when I install an app, the new icon to start the program isn't in the menu until I restart the phone. I read about this happening to someone else while reasearching how to format the phone, but I can't remember if there was a solution. Any ideas?
Tx again!
The Bluetooth printing app can be downloaded from nokia 6600 support site.
