Due to the apparent hassle involved in setting up a separate contacts database on my MMC, I transferred/converted an Excel file on my PC containing customer details, to my MMC. It might take a little longer to dial a phone number this way, but it works and the overall process seemed easier than the contacts database route.
However, there is a small problem: everything transfers/converts ok, but if I then want to change/re-type a phone number in the file version on the 9200, it won't allow me to type in the first "0", and so the number becomes gobbledy gook, and I can't then use it for dialling, the only way I can correct a phone number is to do it on my PC and then transfer/convert the whole file.
Can anyone advise me if it's possible to get round this problem?? And if so, how??

Try to set the numbers column on pc to accept 0 by making on its properties text not numbers. 😊
Special Boy,
Firstly, I'm having trouble signing in, so I don't know what name this will come up as, but I'm "dla17".
Thanks for your reply to my query, but you obviously didn't read my original post properly. The problem isn't with the file on my PC, but the file version on my 9210.
However, I posted the same query on another forum and I've received the solution to my problem!!!
is it possible for you to tell us what the solution was ... thanks 😊
The solution to my problem??
It's seemingly an old trick with spreadsheets; you simply type an apostrophy before the first "0". I've tried it and it works.
