yes you can make the most expensive remote control!..
just visit this site http://www.psiloc.com

You can get it from the psllioc web page but to be honest it is crap you have to stand bout 50cm away from the equipment and battery use is well high eg use it once and a carger will have to be close. lol

I Disagree there,
The novelty has worn off for me now but when i was using it i found that i could get a range of about 4-10ft depending on the quality of the controling equipement,ie 4ft for budget tellys etc and 10ft for pioneer, sony technics etc!

If you search the forum there are a few threads that may answer more of your questions but its definately worth a try, thats what trial periods are for!

And no battery probs either, you must be a severe channel hopper lol!😃

while its true that some model and/or brands of equipments are not supported by the IR application even if the name of the device is in there in the selection (e.g. Panasonic.. dont work on me) but most of the time say SONY, SAMSUNG, LG works on me!... by the way i used the latest version Psiloc TOTAL IR remote control v1.41 (before i use the lower version but is sucks on my 6600) and ohhh.. the distance!!.. even 12ft distance it works but of course its not like the original remote that works perfectly with the device somtimes i press twice or even 4x to make it work on my opinion at 12 or 8 ft distance is enough besides how big is your living room? hehehehehhe mine is just 8 ft between the couch and the TV!,,.. anyway anyone who wants to try it i have the installation file (sis file u can e-mail at removed..... just try it!..)

I too get a huge range on my sony tv, and less on smaller, budget tvs.

I was wondering where to get the codes for adding your own devices to the program, as i have a proline tv which isn't on the list. Anyone know where to get it?

Psiloc do mention something about adding codes for unlisted equipement on their site for use with the "TotalirRemote".

They list all the codes too!

Dunno if it works tho?

Best go out and buy a new telly then!

As long as you can control the telly in the pub, youll be alright.

LOL, I cant wait to confuse people everywhere by changing the tv while their holding the remote,

endless posilbilities...😎
