Sorry if this question is already asked many times, I am having problem with installing any sis file over the wap on nokia 6600, it says cannot perform this operation. It seems like the sis file is not recongnized by the browser The same sis files can be installed via infra red without any problem.
I read some of the posted messages about the installer. Do we need an installer?
If yes where can I find the installer? otherwise what could be the problem, please help.

I 've posted about this before, what is the size of the SIS file?
The 6600 seems to fall over with files more than 350kb
That message means out of memory.
You could try restarting phone first to clear as much memory as possible.

I tried to install the application with the factory settings. and the application is size is not more than 50 kb, still no luck.
I am suspecting there is a problem with the phone itself.
Can anyone suggest?

Or the site you download from (perhaps it is, e.g., sending incorrect headers so that the browser doesn't detect that it is a .sis file)?
Can you try some other site on some other server with .sis files to download?
Or fix the server (if it is under your control). The correct MIME type for .sis files is "application/vnd.symbian.install".

hihi, i tried designing a wapsite but when i download with my Nokia 6600, it opens the sis file using notepad instead of installing it. can any1 help me with this problem? i'll attached my wap file, Thank You!!
